Sant Agusti (28-05-2010) - The revolutionary quality improvement catapulted DVD-Ranger to the absolute top position.
No software is better, take our word for it. Compared to XVID (same GOP size) DVD-Ranger got the best results. The following results were done with the DVD "Avatar".

Many people are arguing about using PSNR for our quality messurements. We ask for your understanding but a SSIM quality measurement of the Avatar movie needs around 3 hours with a dual core computer. A PSNR mesurement needs only around about half an hour. So during normal operation we can do only PNSR tests and make the final test drive using SSIM.

After all, we made the last tests with DVDShrink only using High Quality Settings, because the difference against all the other competitors is too high. Only DVDShrink is worth further testing.
