GPU Acceleration

In an effort to help you optimize your hardware for DVD conversion, DVD-Ranger delegates the workload between the CUDA GPU and the CPU, maximizing the output of each component and greatly reducing the encoding time. This allows your computer to remain responsive for other applications that you may want to use while rendering DVDs to disc. Many don’t realize it, but when you delegate the resource intensive encoding to a CUDA-enabled GPU, your graphics card can actually free up processing speed, as well. In many cases, a computer can run up to 6 times faster than just using the CPU alone.

Previously, HD encodings were a burden for the average CPU, but the CUDA encoding engine alleviates much of this stress. Remember when it used to take six hours to encode a 90 minute HD movie? We do too, but now, this process can be completed in less than an hour (50 minutes to be exact)! A modern graphics card can make all the difference, and with DVD-Ranger optimizing the process for you, you’ll have plenty of free time to spend doing things besides staring at your computer wondering why things are sluggish.
